On July 4, 2013, weighing only 5 pounds, Charlie was left in front of the local Civil Affairs Office. When his parents could not be located, he was brought to the local orphanage. The orphanage staff realized that his case was very serious and called us the same day he arrived at the orphanage. Arrangements were made and Charlie was brought directly to the hospital in Guangzhou where the New Day South staff met him. After examination by the doctor, he was diagnosed with a serious GI defect and was immediately admitted into NICU. Charlie is a sweet baby boy and we can’t wait to see how love and medical care will make a difference in his life.
