Thu

Thu is the oldest of 3 children in her family. She experienced a normal family life until the age of 11 when her mother was struck by lighting and died on the way home from harvesting coffee beans. Soon afterwards, Thu’s father left home to remarry and did not keep in contact or provide for the children.

In 2013, Thu and her siblings were taken in by the Social Welfare Center. She is very grateful for the Center staff for their care and enabling the children to have an education. Thu is now a first year student at a medical college in south Vietnam majoring in Pharmacy.

“Now, my biggest desire is to finish college so that in the future I can help my family and be a useful person to my society. I hope you will support me during this time of my life.”
