Brooke was born on October 4, 2009. She was born with a severe heart disease (complete endocardial cushion defect, possible anomalous pulmonary venous connection, pulmonary artery stenosis, and the right side of her heart is enlarged.) She was abandoned at a local square on July 14, 2010, and when policemen couldn’t find her parents, she was taken to the local orphanage. Due to the severity of her heart condition, her orphanage asked us to help her, and she arrived at NDFH on August 19, 2010. She’s a very quiet and sweet little girl, always watching the people around her. She understands her caregiver and responds to her instructions. She seems to grow very uncomfortable if she doesn’t know the people around her. She enjoys sitting by herself and playing with toys, as well as interacting with all of her friends. We look forward to the day when her heart is whole and she understands that she has always been loved and treasured.
