Mlo, 5 years old, was born with a serious heart defect for which he has already had two surgeries. Mlo’s family lives quite far away in the Central Highlands region of Vietnam. (They belong to one of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic minority groups.) Both of his parents work as laborers, but their combined income is very low. Mlo now needs what should be the final surgery for his complex heart defect. We’ll make sure he gets the best medical care possible and do all we can to support his family during this time and beyond.
