Many of our teachers and volunteers tell us the most meaningful part of their time at New Day is simply building friendships. As a teacher at New Day, you will live in an environment where students and staff are eager to make friends and learn about each other’s lives, background, and culture.

Our teachers are encouraged to spend time with their students outside the classroom. This not only gives them more opportunities to practice their English, but it gives our teachers fantastic opportunities to build friendships and have meaningful conversations.

Along with participating in our school’s planned events, our teachers love having students over to their homes for movie nights, game nights, or to learn western cooking. Students are also thrilled to invite their teachers into Beijing to sightsee and shop. It is during these times that priceless friendships are built, and we see this as vital to the success of our work.
