Teachers at New Day sign a contract for one academic year, which runs from September through July. This includes Fall and Spring semesters, along with intensive Winter and Summer sessions.

We welcome applicants with the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Teaching and ESL Certification
• A heart for people
• Commitment to serve in China for one full school year, beginning in August (for training)

There are two types of teaching positions that are available at New Day:

Salaried Full-Time Teacher

• Teach 20 hours per week
• Participate in school activities and events

Hourly Part-Time Teacher
(Available only to spouses of full-time teachers or to those already living and working at New Day in another capacity.)

• Teach up to 12 hours per week
• Participation in school activities and events is encouraged, but not required
