Salary Range: 3,000 - 6,500 RMB per month

Housing First Year
For the first year, New Day provides housing for teachers. These apartments are located near New Day. They are fully furnished, and our staff is happy to provide any assistance with maintenance issues and any other needs related to your apartment.

Housing Second Year and Beyond
For the second year of teaching, teachers may choose to live in housing provided by New Day or to arrange their own housing. Housing provided by New Day will be the same as the above. A monthly housing allowance will be paid to teachers wanting to arrange their own housing. The housing allowance will be paid for each full-time teacher in the household and will be added to the teacher’s monthly salary.

When acquiring their own housing, the teacher is responsible for negotiations with landlords if the apartment is rented, leased or purchased. The teacher is also responsible for furnishing their own apartment and setting up the utilities. The teacher is responsible for all the set up and furnishing of their apartment. New Day will assist the teacher but the teacher is ultimately responsible for housing issues.

Transportation
New Day is happy to pick up teachers at the airport once per school year at the expense of the school. Additional trips to the airport are the responsibility of the teacher.

Each full-time or salaried part-time teacher will receive 300 RMB per month for transportation into Beijing. This will be added to the teacher’s salary each month and can be used at the teacher’s discretion.

New Day provides transportation to and from all school events and activities held at locations other than the New Day Learning Center campus.

Documentation
New Day will pay for all expenses related to the teacher’s VISA for entry into China and for residence and work permits. The teacher is responsible to turn over all required paperwork related to their VISA, residence and work permits. The teacher will be responsible for fines levied as a result of paperwork not being turned in on time.

Yearly Bonus
Each full-time will be given a bonus of 8,000 RMB each year. This bonus can be used for an airplane ticket or at the teacher’s discretion. Half of this bonus will be given upon arrival to Beijing to help the teacher with moving costs. The second half of the bonus will be given at the end of the school year.

Returning teachers will be eligible for a salary increase of up to 10%, based on the teacher’s performance and the financial situation of the school.

Insurance
All teachers are required to obtain international medical insurance that covers emergency medical evacuation expenses. The school cannot cover the costs associated with an emergency medical evacuation and the teacher will be solely responsible for any and all such expenses.

The school will provide basic accident insurance for teachers at local Chinese facilities. Teachers who want or need access to medical care at foreign clinics and hospitals will need to be prepared to cover those expenses either directly or through international medical insurance.
