Athrun Cheng
Athrun is from Henan, China.
He graduated from Hunan University, with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and broadcasting. He was a New Day student in 2008, and in 2009 he started working with the school as a teacher’s assistant. He enjoys soccer, tennis, chess, swimming, skiing, and working out.

Christian Hayes
Chirstian Hayes is from Baltimore, Maryland in the United States. He worked at New Day Learning Center for a short time last summer and was happy to have the opportunity to return again for six months this spring.
This fall, Christian will be attending Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. He will be studying Teaching English as a second Language. He loves living in China and would love to return and teach English after getting his degree. He says, “New Day has a wonderful environment for learning English. It has been a wonderful place for me to get some teaching experience.”

Donna Du
Donna comes from He Bei Province. She was a student at New Day in 2008 and is currently working as an intern. Her dream is to be an English teacher one day. She has many hobbies which include swimming, running, reading, and watching movies.

Fannie Fu
Fannie Fu is from Zhejiang Province. She attended Civil Aviation Flight Institute of China, and will return again to pursue her bachelor's degree in aviation and transportation. She was a student last semester, and currently works in New Day as a volunteer. She says she loves the staff and teachers, and this is why she returned to intern here. She is always ready to help and is well liked by the staff and students. She likes to travel and make friends with people who come from different places.

Kellie Babcock
Kellie Babcock is from Sandpoint, Idaho, USA and is volunteering for almost four months with both New Day Learning Center and the New Day Foster Home. She has been to Canada, Jamaica, and Mexico, where she worked with children as a volunteer. She says that New Day has been a wonderful experience and she hopes that she will be able to return in the future.
