Now 11 years old, Xidang came into care along with her younger brothers due to her father’s advanced age and poor health and her mother’s intellectual disability. Xidang experiences some developmental delays and speaks with slight unclearness. When she cannot express her needs in words, she may cry to communicate. With patient guidance, she is learning positive ways to express herself and build daily routines.
