Born in January 2012, Hong Fei is currently a sixth-grade student. Described as handsome and sensible, his family situation is far from simple. At the age of four, his parents divorced, and his mother disappeared without a trace. His father remarried and entrusted Hong Fei to the care of his great-grandparents.
Relying primarily on the $140 monthly welfare benefit his great-grandparents receive, Hong Fei uses the money to cover his education expenses and contribute to the family’s needs. Despite the challenges he faces, Hong Fei remains responsible and determined.
