Kaedon was born in August 2013. He was diagnosed with Binocular esotropia which has affected his eyesight. To correct this, he needs to wear glasses. He is an extravert and has good reasoning skills. His favorite activities are any type of sport. His large and fine motor skills have developed well. His focusing skills are good which has helped his learning ability. He can design and make a complicated and spectacular scene using blocks. When he first came to the orphanage, he was very timid. When he would see a black car he would say, “That’s my dad’s car.” He would also talk about his young sister. As time passed and he got to know his caregiver and the other children, he felt freer to express himself. When he joined his foster family, he was able to go to kindergarten. We can’t wait to see how he begins to blossom.
Kaedon was named by Annie who was adopted from New Day in 2006.
Kaedon means “watchful, vigorous, brave and alert”. Annie wants Kaedon to know that he will forever be alert and watchful over his family and friends, and he will protect them through his brave courage.
Annie also picked 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 as Kaedon’s life verse. “Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all you do be done in love.” (ESV).
