Leon was born August 11, 2014, and was abandoned soon thereafter. He was born with ENT defects that require surgery, and because of his difficulties eating, he struggled to gain weight. On August 27th, Leon joined the New Day North family and was immediately transferred to Beijing for medical care to help him gain weight. He weighed just 2.4kg (5.2lb) upon arrival. With a lot of tender loving care and careful feeding, Leon grew into a happy and strong little baby. He had his first ENT repair December 9, 2014, and will have his second surgery after his first birthday. Leon is a fun little guy, who loves to be played with and tickled. He has an engaging giggle and adorable big eyes. We hope that Leon will continue to grow healthy and strong and join a forever family of his own one day.
