Liya was born in 2011. She is 13 years old and in primary school. Her mother is mentally handicapped, and her father was born deaf and needs to wear hearing aids. There are four people in Liya’s family — father, mother, elder brother and Liya. In order to earn tuition fees, her brother who is in middle school, has to work outside during his school holiday’s.
Their main source of income is the state subsidy and disability allowance. All of this burden rests upon the disabled father, and we cannot fail to be moved by their difficulties.
