Maya’s orphanage called New Day South asking for help with a newly abandoned baby girl, only 5 days old. Maya was born with a GI issue, heart defect and Down Syndrome. Arrangements were quickly made and Maya was admitted to best children’s hospital in the region on that same day. A successful surgery was performed the next day, and Maya was then sent to NICU for recovery and further evaluation. Plans are being made now for additional surgery in the near future. We believe good things are in store for this gentle little girl, and we look forward to watching her grow and blossom.
