Thaddeus was born in March 2019 with congenital lower limb deficiencies and hearing issues. Soon after his birth, he was part of our Formula Project. In November 2021, Thaddeus became a resident of the orphanage. However, due to the need for prosthetic fitting, he was transferred to a different therapy center in March 2022, where he has remained since then. In early May of this year (2026), he returned to us and joined one of our Foster Families.
At present, Thaddeus is doing well physically. He has gained the ability to roll over and crawl independently. With some help in donning his prosthetics, he can stand, walk, slide down a slide by himself, and create simple structures with LEGO. He has also developed strong self-care abilities—he can eat, drink, and dress himself in loose clothing independently. He sleeps peacefully at night. Thaddeus can communicate simple words like “eat,” “drink,” and “bye-bye,” and he can identify familiar objects around him, including bread, glasses, a lamp, a door, and toilet paper.
We are thrilled to welcome Thaddeus back into our extended family and eagerly anticipate watching him flourish in his own unique way with a renewed spirit!
Thaddeus was named by Livia (formerly Kendra) who was adopted from New Day in 2006.
I think a strong name would be Thaddeus. In Greek it means to have a courageous heart. I would love for him to grow strong in the knowledge that God is always going to look out for his safety. Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.
Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go. (NIV)
John 14:27
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. (NIV)
