My Tien was born with a complex heart disease. She has already had 2 surgeries, but her 3rd (and final) surgery has been delayed several years now because of Covid. The doctors say she really needs this surgery now.
We visited My Tien and her father at their rural home yesterday, getting to know the family better, and reviewing her prior medical records. They live deep in the countryside, and although both parents work, their income is very low.
My Tien is a bit worried about her upcoming surgery (understandably!), but we assured her that the doctors in our city are well-trained and will do their very best.
