Born in June 2015, Xiao Jia is now an eight-year-old second-grader facing a challenging health crisis. Recently diagnosed with kidney damage, she is currently undergoing thorough examinations at Hohhot Hospital, with a close relative by her side.
Xiao Jia’s family situation adds to the complexity of her condition – her mother has a mental disability, her father works far from home, and her grandfather is physically limited due to a cerebral infarction. Taking on the responsibility of caring for the whole family, Xiao Jia’s grandmother, in her seventies, faces an overwhelming task. Without land to farm or access to low-income support, the family’s financial struggles are apparent.
By bringing attention to their plight through our project, we aim to rally more support and compassion towards Xiao Jia and her family.
