Yongqiang came to the orphanage at age 9 after his father’s passing and his mother’s mental health challenges. Cheerful, sensible, and physically strong, Yongqiang now trains in Taekwondo at a sports school and has reached the level of a third-grade athlete. Limited funding affects his access to updated training gear and opportunities to attend external training sessions.
