The ninth day of the ninth lunar month is the Chongyang festival which is a traditional festival for the elderly in China. A garden party was thrown for the elderly facility at the same welfare the Little Deer project is at. The kids had a fantastic time there playing some fun games, and some traditional popular market food and art crafts made the festival a special time. Street food like Tanghulu, sugar figurines, and dough figurines. The kids not only tasted them but also were amazed to watch how they were made by hand. We were so glad to see all the happy smiles and eyes filled with wonder.
