A couple of kids in our Eleos project had a chance for a tour to Beijing. They got to visit the Forbidden City where they walked through the ancient palace and learned some knowledge and historical stories from the volunteers. Also they went to the traditional tour street to explore and have local delicacies. In the beginning they were a little shy and subdued but after two days they became quite animated and had a great time interacting with new friends from a local school, who warmly welcomed them. We are so thankful the first tour of the Eleos project went so well.
