Training
Vision
Training allows employees to strengthen their skills that they need to improve. New Day China regularly conducts a wide range of training programs in government orphanages throughout China.
Programs
- Special Needs Preschool: New Day China provides regular training and guidance to the teachers and assistants in government orphanage special needs preschools.
- Feeding Intervention Program: New Day China provides specialized toddler formula, customized menus, basic monthly evaluations and regular coaching on feeding for several specific children with significant feeding difficulties.
- Therapy: New Day China’s therapist partners with other therapists who come regularly to train staff, evaluate children, and provide specific therapeutic guidance for the children we are helping.
- Special Education: New Day China’s special education team helps to assess the children periodically and provide them with goals to help them grow and develop.
- Nanny Training: New Day China works closely with nannies, training them to work with children who have special needs.
- Early childhood development assessment program: 90% of a child’s brain is developed by the age of 5, so it is very important for a young child to be able to reach their developmental milestones. New Day trains orphanage staff to track and assess each child’s development, providing them with tools to be able to facilitate each child reaching their full potential.
- Child Discipline: Children are a blank slate, what is being written on that slate. We provide training to orphanage staff to help them realize the importance of training a child’s heart and not just their outward behavior.
- Database usage: keeping track of many children and all aspects of their life is very time consuming. We provide training on how to use a database that we developed to make this a much easier process.
- Baby care 101: Learning how to care for a small child can be challenging. We provide basic training from how to burp, changing a diaper, making schedules to bonding and calming a child.
- Foster family training: no facility, no matter how good it is, can take the place of family. We train foster families how to share their love and life with a child that will help develop permanency in them that will last a lifetime.
- PKU training: Caring for a child with PKU is very challenging and time consuming. We provide the training and tools necessary to provide these children with the best care possible.
