With Christmas rapidly approaching our preschoolers have been busy making Christmas crafts. They have had so much fun and we love seeing the creations they make.

With so many boys who love cars we thought that a trip to the Beijing Auto Museum would be a a great field trip. And we were right! It was so much fun to see so many different cars. It was a great way to spend a cold Beijing day!

A play place at a local mall invited us to go back and play recently. There were so many fun things to play with. All of the kids found toys that they liked and everyone had a great time!

This month we celebrated 3 birthdays. Judah turned 1, and Abner and Mabry turned 2! We love celebrating this sweet kids with our friends from the Ritz Carlton.

Thanksgiving was a time to celebrate, eat, and be thankful! The preschoolers helped make mashed potatoes for our meal and then everyone gathered around tables full of food to eat. We are always so thankful to be able to take time to celebrate here!

Here at New Day Thanksgiving preparations always include making hats in preschool. The kids did a great job putting their hats together and loved becoming little turkeys when the hats were finished!

There is nothing more fun in the fall than playing in a pile of leaves. Our gardener, Adam, makes big piles for the kids to play in and the result is an afternoon full of laughter and fun!

Fall is the perfect time for a trip to the zoo. The weather was perfect, the animals were active, and everyone had such a great time. Our friends at Cummins help sponsor our field trips and were able to join us for a fun day at the zoo!

Most of the children we are helping at New Day Vietnam live in families in very rural locations. When a child has been recommended to us for assistance, we first travel to the his / her home to meet the child and better understand the family’s situation.

Fall is here and the leaves a starting to turn beautiful colors. The leaves on the vines that grow near the foster home are bright red and we thought that the kids would enjoy taking a little trip outside to see the leaves!

Earlier this week Caterpillar planed a fun performance for the kids. They brought a clown and a magician, balloons and cotton candy. IT was such a fun morning and we are so thankful for how Caterpillar has supported New Day.

Sometimes, the playroom can get a little crazy. With so many boys, (and some occasionally wild girls) there is always something going on. As you can imagine, there are lots of laughs and it is always a lot of fun!

Babies grow up too fast, so here are some pictures that we can look back on and remember when they were littler.

Lately the kids have loved playing in the courtyard. It’s a great escape from the playroom and there are so many fun toys to play with.

In September we celebrated Paul’s first birthday! He had a fun little party with his nanny and the preschool kids enjoyed cake!

Here at New Day we have an amazing team of therapists who work with the children to help them grow and develop well. With such a variety of activities, therapy sessions can be fun, too!

What child doesn’t love to play on a bounce house? Our visitors from Cummins sponsored the rental of one, and everyone enjoyed the fun – visitors, nannies, and most of all, the children!

This month we had three birthdays to celebrate: Austyn turned eleven, James turned seven, and Sophie turned four. Our friends from the Ritz Carlton brought a cake for everyone to share. It is always fun to have a party!

An owner at a play place in a mall nearby invited our children to come and play for the morning. Afterwards we were able to eat at a restaurant in the same mall. It was such a fun morning and everyone enjoyed themselves.

Imaginations run wild when it’s time to dress up. From doctors to policeman to superheroes we love seeing the kids play and explore. You never know what they will come up with, but you know that they will have a lot of fun while playing and exploring!

If swimming in the backyard is fun going to a big water park is even more fun! So, we loaded up a bus and took the kids swimming one hot summer day! It was the perfect way to cool off and everyone had a lot of fun!

We have a pear tree in our backyard and the pears are finally ready to pick! The kids enjoyed picking them, but of course the best part is always eating the fruit of their labor!

When the temperature rises and you’re outside water has to be involved! Luckily, we have plenty of opportunities to play in water in our backyard. From pools to sprinklers to water balloons there is no shortage of water fun.

Bubbles are always fun, and giant bubbles are even more fun! Joy spread as the bubbles floated through the air and popping them brought giggles from everyone!

It’s time to celebrate our July birthdays! This month we have three birthdays, Maggie turns 6 and Titus and Josias both celebrate their first birthdays! We have so much fun celebrating these sweet kids with our friends from the Ritz Carlton.

Holidays are always fun to celebrate, and since most of our volunteers are from America we love to celebrate the 4th of July! From books to crafts to snack time everything is red, white, and blue! To top it off we have a little New Day parade!

This June was had only one birthday, Mr. Everrit turned 1! Everyone had fun celebrating this sweet boy and it was declared a successful birthday party.

We celebrated the dragon boat festival by eating zongzi, but we also made a few boats for the kids to play in! As you can tell it was a big hit!

We grow cucumbers in our backyard and thought that our preschoolers would enjoy picking them. We’re actually not sure what they thought was more fun, the picking or the eating!

BioDuro, a drug development company, invited us a and few of the children to come for a tour of their laboratory. They were also having a fundraising race and we thankful for how they are helping support New Day!

It’s summer again which means it’s time for a lot of new volunteers. Whether they come by themselves or in a group, for a week or for a month, we are thankful for how they pour out their love!

Each year we have a party to thank our Chinese sponsors. From the kites hanging in the trees, the games throughout the backyard, and the delicious snacks everyone had a lot of fun! We are so thankful for our sponsors and how they are helping us Catch the Wind!

This is the first year our mulberry tree in the backyard produced fruit and everyone has been enjoying it! The kids quickly learned that they could eat the juicy berries and even shared them with their friends!
